Between the beaches of Ses Salines and es Codolar there is a big hill with a cliff overlooking the sea. The top of this mountain is known as Cap des Falcó, a beautiful viewpoint whose path is not easy to climb as you have to go up its steep slopes in order to reach its 136 meters in height. This area has a very important ecological value since it is a perfect ecosystem for the nesting of different kinds of birds such as the royal falcon. It is also part of the Natural Park of Ses Salines.
In order to get to Cap des Falcó, from Eivissa, you must take the road towards the airport and after about 5 km you will find the turnoff to Ses Salines, which you must take. Once you’ve passed by the Church of Sant Francesc, keep on straight ahead for a short while and take the only detour there is on the right side which crosses the salt pans. If you follow the road until the end you will arrive at the southern end of the beach of es Codolar, where you have to park the car and continue the excursion by foot. Cap des Falcó is the mountain you’ll find on the left side of this place. You’ll see a small path that leads to the top.
