Cap des Falcó

Places

Between the beaches of Ses Salines and Es Codolar there is a large mountain with a steep coast that protrudes into the sea. The top of the mountain is known as the Cap des Falcó (Cape of Falcons) and from here you have a wonderful view. However, the way to the top is quite difficult as there are many steep sections with up to 136 m difference in height. This area is of immense importance for nature, since many birds such as the peregrine falcon nest here, and it is also part of the Ses Salines Natural Park.

To get to Cap des Falcó from Ibiza, take the road towards the airport. After about 5 km take the exit towards Ses Salines. When you have passed the Sant Francesc church, take the only fork on the right, which runs along the salt basin. Follow the road to the end, you are now at the southern tip of Es Codolar beach. Park your car here and continue on foot. From here, the Cap de Falcó is on the left-hand side. When you climb up, you will come across a small path that will take you to the top.
