It can be reached via a paved road using the airport as a reference point. On the outskirts of Sant Jordi, take the left turn towards Sa Canal. Follow this road for approximately 4 km, then take the turn-off for Es Cavallet. The route is clearly signposted.
TRANSPORT: It can be reached by car, by bicycle (the road has a dedicated cycle lane), or by regular bus service towards Ses Salines beach, with a stop at the junction with the Es Cavallet road.
DISTANCES: 9.5 km from Ibiza Town and 24.5 km from Sant Josep.
As it faces east, winds from that direction are the most common, although they are generally moderate and blow from the sea towards the shore.
It is located next to the salt ponds of Ses Salines. Declared a Natural Park, the area is of outstanding scenic interest and is home to numerous wild and water birds. Visitors can also admire the traditional saltworks structures and buildings. The area offers an interesting network of trails through pine forests and the island’s characteristic coniferous vegetation.
As a Nature Reserve, visitors are required to observe and respect the conservation rules and follow the instructions provided by the park rangers.
The seabed is mainly sandy, with some rocky areas that are ideal for snorkelling. The water remains shallow for many metres offshore, which helps minimise risks while swimming. At greater depths, visitors can observe marine vegetation.
