Es Xarco, also known as Es Xarcu, is a small, peaceful fishermen’s cove with a mixture of sand and rock, popular with local residents. Its waters are usually crystal clear and become deep close to the shore, so water shoes are recommended. During the summer season, a beachfront chiringuito serves local cuisine in a relaxed atmosphere, making it an ideal spot for an unhurried day by the sea. The cove is reached via a paved road followed by a short unpaved section. A charming seaside retreat that captures the authentic maritime character of southern Sant Josep.
