1. Enjoying the coastline, the beaches and the sea<\/h2>\n

The months of October and November are great to enjoy the sea. While nighttime temperatures are falling, the days are nice and the sea temperature is at its best time of the year. Water activities and watersports such as diving, paddle surfing, sailing, kayaking and many others\u2026 Are perfect to practice them these months.\u00a0The Diving routes and immersions<\/a>\u00a0and\u00a0Kayak routes<\/a>.<\/p>\n

As well, you can definitely enjoy the beaches. 4. “Matanzas”\u00a0(Traditional Pig Slaughter)<\/strong><\/h2>\n

The months of November and December are very special to Ibizan native peoples. After collecting the produce of the fields in September, such as almonds, carobs and grapes for the making of \u201cVino Pay\u00e9s\u201d (Ibizan country homemade wine), comes the time of the pig slaughter.<\/p>\n

The pig slaughter is a whole ancestral tradition of the island, and from it they make the tasty \u201cbutifarra\u201d and \u201csobrasada\u201d (cured spiced sausage) which families, in the old days and still today, stored for having food throughout the cold winter. During the day of the \u201cmatanza\u201d you can enjoy the authentic dishes of the traditional cuisine of the island, such as the “sofrit pag\u00e8s”, Ibizan cheeses, \u201cfrita de porc\u201d among other traditional dishes and foods.<\/p>\n

If you have the opportunity to meet a native Ibicenco family do not hesitate to mention it, and knowing Ibizan people they\u2019ll surely invite you, but of course, everyone has to help a little with the preparations \ud83d\ude09<\/p>\n

5.\u00a0Visiting the Natural Park of Ses Salines<\/strong><\/h2>\n

From late August and during the fall and winter season is the perfect time to visit this nature reserve. Ses Salines is a resting area for migratory birds like flamingos, stilts, shelducks, Kentish plovers and other seabirds.<\/p>\n

To take a walk through the reserve and enjoy the interesting colors of the salt ponds, going to the sand dunes and strolling along the coast of the beaches of Es Cavallet and Ses Salines are some of the attractions of the area.\u00a0So worth a walk to enjoy its beauty.
