Enjoying the coast, seeing the beautiful islets, the different bird species and even dolphins, are just some of the attractions of this type of activity. This islet, which belongs to the Natural Reserve of \u201cEs Vedr\u00e0, Es Vedranell i els Illots de Ponent\u201d, only has one construction: a lighthouse. Filled with junipers, in Sa Conillera protected species inhabit Sa Conillera, such as the virot (Balearic Shearwater) and the Eleonora Hawk.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.santjosep.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/08\/IMG_0169.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-large wp-image-2201\" src=\"https:\/\/www.santjosep.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/08\/IMG_0169-1024x682.jpg\" alt=\"IMG_0169\" width=\"1024\" height=\"682\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.santjosep.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/08\/IMG_0169-1024x682.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/www.santjosep.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/08\/IMG_0169-300x200.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.santjosep.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/08\/IMG_0169.jpg 1200w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>The next thing we see is <a title=\"Cala Bassa\" href=\"https:\/\/www.santjosep.net\/en\/ver\/cala-bassa\/\">Cala Bassa<\/a>, a beautiful beach with turquoise water, white sand and crescent shaped. The coastline in this area remains unspoiled and filled with lush pine and juniper trees.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.santjosep.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/08\/IMG_0224.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-large wp-image-2199\" src=\"https:\/\/www.santjosep.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/08\/IMG_0224-1024x671.jpg\" alt=\"IMG_0224\" width=\"1024\" height=\"671\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.santjosep.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/08\/IMG_0224-1024x671.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/www.santjosep.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/08\/IMG_0224-300x196.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.santjosep.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/08\/IMG_0224.jpg 1200w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Along the way we\u2019ll also see the defense tower <a title=\"De Comte Watchtower (or d\u2019en Rovira)\" href=\"https:\/\/www.santjosep.net\/en\/ver\/torre-de-comte-o-den-rovira\/\">Torre d&#8217;en Rovira<\/a>, located between Cala Bassa and Platges de Comte. Built in 1763 it was part of the defense tower system in the island of Ibiza, formerly used to watch and defend from pirates attacks. It had two cannons.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.santjosep.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/08\/IMG_0269.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-large wp-image-2197\" src=\"https:\/\/www.santjosep.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/08\/IMG_0269-1024x752.jpg\" alt=\"IMG_0269\" width=\"1024\" height=\"752\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.santjosep.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/08\/IMG_0269-1024x752.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/www.santjosep.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/08\/IMG_0269-300x220.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.santjosep.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/08\/IMG_0269.jpg 1200w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>We pass the tower and head to Es Vedr\u00e0. In fact, at this point of the tour we can seen from far away the legendary silhouette of this islet. It&#8217;s time to cross s&#8217;Illa d\u2019Es Bosc, a pretty round islet covered with scrub, located right in front of Platges de Comte. We\u2019ll also go by and see the beautiful rocky formations in extravagant ways that this islet has, called Picatxos.<\/p>\n<div id=\"attachment_2193\" style=\"width: 1034px\" class=\"wp-caption alignnone\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.santjosep.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/08\/IMG_0328.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-2193\" class=\"size-large wp-image-2193\" src=\"https:\/\/www.santjosep.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/08\/IMG_0328-1024x682.jpg\" alt=\"IMG_0328\" width=\"1024\" height=\"682\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.santjosep.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/08\/IMG_0328-1024x682.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/www.santjosep.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/08\/IMG_0328-300x200.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.santjosep.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/08\/IMG_0328.jpg 1200w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\" \/><\/a><p id=\"caption-attachment-2193\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Platges de Comte<\/p><\/div>\n<p>It\u2019s at this point when we arrive to <a title=\"Platges de Comte\" href=\"https:\/\/www.santjosep.net\/en\/ver\/platges-de-comte\/\">Platges Comte<\/a>, a set of spectacular beaches, with crystal clear waters and beautiful sandstone walls. There are two larger coves and a smaller one which is nudist, called Es Rec\u00f3 den Xic.<\/p>\n<div id=\"attachment_2189\" style=\"width: 1034px\" class=\"wp-caption alignnone\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.santjosep.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/08\/IMG_0339.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-2189\" class=\"size-large wp-image-2189\" src=\"https:\/\/www.santjosep.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/08\/IMG_0339-1024x682.jpg\" alt=\"IMG_0339\" width=\"1024\" height=\"682\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.santjosep.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/08\/IMG_0339-1024x682.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/www.santjosep.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/08\/IMG_0339-300x200.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.santjosep.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/08\/IMG_0339.jpg 1200w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\" \/><\/a><p id=\"caption-attachment-2189\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">S&#8217;Espartar<\/p><\/div>\n<p>During the tour also passes by the islet of s&#8217;Espartar which also belongs to the nature reserve. You can only dock with permission of the Balearic Government. During the months of July and August the artisans who work the esparto grass come to this islet to get this fiber for making the already so legendary baskets the and famous &#8220;espardenyes&#8221; sandals. Like all islets, s\u2019Espartar has an endemic species of lizard, in this case with a blue tone.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.santjosep.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/08\/IMG_0385.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-large wp-image-2191\" src=\"https:\/\/www.santjosep.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/08\/IMG_0385-1024x682.jpg\" alt=\"IMG_0385\" width=\"1024\" height=\"682\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.santjosep.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/08\/IMG_0385-1024x682.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/www.santjosep.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/08\/IMG_0385-300x200.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.santjosep.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/08\/IMG_0385.jpg 1200w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>We\u2019re getting closer and closer to Es Vedr\u00e0. The islet of Es Vedr\u00e0 is 385 meters high, and has another smaller islet besides it, Es Vedranell. Both of them have a variety of endemic plants. There are also many birds and lizards, which in the case of Es Vedr\u00e0 are yellow.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.santjosep.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/08\/IMG_0413.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-large wp-image-2187\" src=\"https:\/\/www.santjosep.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/08\/IMG_0413-1024x682.jpg\" alt=\"IMG_0413\" width=\"1024\" height=\"682\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.santjosep.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/08\/IMG_0413-1024x682.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/www.santjosep.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/08\/IMG_0413-300x200.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.santjosep.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/08\/IMG_0413.jpg 1200w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>The boat goes around the whole island of Es Vedr\u00e0, in order to appreciate its height and majestic silhouette.
