The first area is the Nature Park of Ses Salines, while the second is the Nature Reserve of Es Vedr\u00e0, Es Vedranell i els Illots de Ponent.<\/p>\n<p>The Ses Salines Nature Park consists of the area situated between the south of Ibiza and the north of Formentera, occupying a territory of 1,786.52 land hectares and 13,611.80 sea hectares. The park constitutes a rich paradigm of Mediterranean biodiversity. Its singularity derives from the fact that it provides a rest area and nesting ground for birds during their migrations. As a natural space of special interest it encompasses an ensemble of land habitats, such as es Cavallet and Salines beaches, as well as marine habitats, all endowed with ecological, historical, cultural and aesthetic value.<\/p>\n<p>The Nature Reserve of es Vedr\u00e0, es Vedranell and the Western Isles is located in the southwest of Ibiza, in the municipality of Sant Josep de sa Talaia. The protected area encompasses islets, cliffs, massifs, torrents, beaches, arable fields and forests as well as the marine environment. One relevant datum is that this reserve includes the highest elevation on Ibiza, sa Talaia, which rises up 485 metres above sea level.
