[vc_row enable_hue_rotation=”no” enable_text_marquee=”no”][vc_column][vc_column_text]The first plans for this church, drawn up by the engineer Pedro Croillez de Servien at the request of Bishop Abad y Lasierra, date from 6 February 1971. However, it was not until 1806 that the blessing of the high altar and the presbytery took place, an event that occurred before the church was completely finished. There is no record of when the bell tower was built or the installation of the bell. In a letter from Bishop Basilio Carrasco, dated 1851, it is confirmed that the parishioners had built two new chapels located on either side of the main altar, one dedicated to the Holy Christ and the other to the Virgin Mary of the Rosary. The first of these still preserves the altarpiece and altar, as well as the tabernacle, which could be the one originally put in by Blas Jacobo in 1806. It should be noted that the main tabernacle was replaced in 1965 by another metal one. For its part, the chapel of the Virgin Mary of the Rosary still has the old altarpiece.<\/p>\n

This church has a very elongated ground plan. In fact, the only main nave is an elongated rectangle. The west side of the wall has a small chapel, a slightly larger one and a third one that was built in the circumstances mentioned above.[\/vc_column_text][vc_column_text]
