
Each October, the Ses Salines Natural Park of Ibiza and the village of Sant Jordi transform into a fascinating setting for the “Fira de la Sal,” a unique cultural and tourist event dedicated to commemorating the heritage and culture intertwined with traditional salt harvesting.
Sant Josep de sa Talaia celebrates its salt-producing origins with cultural activities, gastronomy, and family-friendly entertainment in Sant Jordi and the Ses Salines Natural Park of Ibiza.
This weekend we celebrate the 9th Salt Fair in Sant Jordi, a tribute to our white gold and the salt-making tradition of Sant Josep.
Saturday, from 10:00 a.m. — Sant Jordi Square
️ Artisan market (10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.)
Workshops for children and adults: salt painting, salt dough, aromatic salts, and natural exfoliants
12:15 p.m. – Presentation of the Fair’s guardians, Xicu and Jordi
12:30 p.m. – Showcooking with Sabors d’Eivissa
2:00 p.m. – Traditional lunch: “ossos amb col”
6:00 p.m. – Live concerts with Dos Tierras, Musika Banda, and the Sant Josep Municipal Band
7:30 p.m. – Blessing of the salt and solemn mass
8:45 p.m. – Screening of “D’on venim”, a tribute to the workers of Ses Salines
